The Laura M. Fleming Scholarship Fund

The Laura M. Fleming Scholarship Fund was established by Founders Federal Credit Union in memory of former President and CEO. The purpose of the Scholarship Fund is to provide undergraduate scholarships to the children of Founders Federal Credit Union members to attend an accredited college, vocational or technical school of their choice.

Minimum Eligibility

Laura M. Fleming Scholarship candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Applicants must be children of Founders Federal Credit Union members.
• The parents or legally appointed guardians of applicants must be Founders Federal Credit Union members in good standing for a minimum two years (24 months) prior to the application deadline.
• Applicants must be high school seniors scheduled to graduate in the spring of the current school year.
• Applicants must have a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale).

Scholarship Awards

Scholarships will range from $1,000 to $2,500 annually at the discretion of the scholarship committee. Scholarships may be renewed annually for up to three additional years provided funds are available, the recipient enrolls full-time, a cumulative grade point average of 2.50 (on a 4.00 scale) is maintained and the recipient completes a minimum 40 hours of community service during the academic year for which the award is made.
