Founders Federal Credit Union Opens New In School Credit Union
Founders Federal Credit Union celebrated the opening of the Academy for Teaching and Learning In School Credit Union Thursday, July 25.
This branch is the 22nd credit union Founders has installed in schools, aimed at teaching students how to save by offering incentives for varying savings levels. “This marks our 6th Chester County elementary school to open an In School Credit Union,” says Brian Bass, Community Relations Coordinator for Founders. “It has been a huge success in elementary and middle schools throughout Founders communities and the kids love saving money and earning incentives.”
The credit union will be open to students every Thursday morning to deposit money. Almost 60 students made deposits on opening morning.
By opening an account at the Academy for Teaching and Learning In School Credit Union, each student will automatically become a member of Founders Federal Credit Union.
“This is a great partnership between Founders and Chester County School District,” said Bass. “Students learn such valuable life skills through saving money.”
