Founders Federal Credit Union Holds 2013 Annual Meeting
The 2013 Annual Meeting of Founders Federal Credit Union was held Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at the credit union's Corporate Headquarters in Lancaster, SC.
Founders reported to more than 200 members and employees that 2012 was a successful year. The credit union ended the year with over 191,000 members, a 2.4% growth over the previous year. In 2012, Founders earned its highest net income $24.7 million in the history of the credit union.
Bruce Brumfield, President and CEO of Founders, reviewed the positive year Founders experienced in 2012 and attributed the success to focusing on members' needs. "Our success is a reflection of the loyalty and trust we have gained from our members," said Brumfield. "If we remember where we came from, who we are and what we're here for, we will continue to provide members with great products and the same level of service we have for the past 62 years."
Brumfield also commented on the steps the credit union took to prepare itself for upgrades to Founders Online and the recently released Founders Mobile App. "In 2012, we focused on infrastructure with security that will allow us to give our members products they are asking for, such as our Mobile App," Brumfield continued.
The President and CEO also highlighted upgrades made in 2012 to the Springdale Road, Kershaw, Chester and South Church Street offices, as well as the Chester Service Center. "We want our facilities to be in a manner that our members are proud of being a part of when they walk in the door. Everything we think; everything we do; we're doing what is right for our members."
Founders Federal Credit Union was established in 1950 and continues to be one of the largest, most innovative credit unions in the nation with 24 branches, 2 service centers and access to over 100 ATMs, including 7 on college campuses.
