Who’s Eligible?
You are eligible to become a member1 of Founders Federal Credit Union if:
- You live, work, worship, attend school or volunteer in a designated area.
- Your company/organization/association offers membership as a benefit or you are retired from a Business Partner.
- You have someone in your family or household2 eligible for membership.

How do I join?
If you determine you are eligible for membership and wish to join, there are three easy ways to join:
- Download and complete our Membership Application and mail or bring it to any Founders office.
- Visit any Founders office and speak with a Special Service Representative.
- Call us at 1-800-845-1614 and we will mail you everything you need to establish membership with Founders.
To join you must:
- Complete the membership application in full, signing where indicated (signatures must be notarized and if out of state, notary seal is required).
- Include a photocopy of your valid driver’s license3 or other valid government identification.
- Enclose a check in the amount of at least $54 payable to Founders Federal Credit Union.
- Bring all of this information to any Founders office or mail to: Founders Federal Credit Union, 607 North Main Street, Lancaster, SC 29720
1 A $5 deposit is required to open your Savings Account.
2 Family is defined as Spouse, Child, Sibling, Parent, Grandparent, Grandchild, Step Parents, Step Children, Step Siblings, Adoptive Relationships. Household is defined as persons living in the same residence maintaining a single economic relationship.
3 To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal Law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. For your protection, all new account applications are verified by Equifax.
